Moses led the children of Israel out of Egyptian bondage in the first exodus after receiving instructions from the Angel of the Lord speaking from the pillar of Fire in a bush. Paul led the Church out of apostate Israel in the second exodus after the same pillar of Fire met him on the Damascus road, and said “Why do you persecute Me? I am Jesus, and it's hard to kick against the pricks” (Acts 9:3-5).
