That Day Shall Not Overtake You as A Thief
Recently a skeptic said, 'no man knoweth the day or the hour, not the angels of heaven but My Father only'. Whilst this is true, when Jesus spoke, these things had not been revealed to Him. This was before His ascension, and before the fact. Today it is history, although few who call upon the lovely Name of the Lord Jesus know a thing about it.
When we read Revelation 1:1-3, we discover that the Father revealed it to His Son. He revealed It to the angel of the Laodicean or Seventh Church Age. And when he was in the Spirit on the Isle of Patmos, John saw and heard William Branham revealing these things in our day. He recorded those visions in the Book of Revelation as symbols, because he was forbidden to write the words he had heard. 'But in the days of the Voice of the seventh angel, the mystery of God should be finished'.
The angel who guided John through the book of Revelation from 1:1 to 22:21 was William Branham. He was the prophet messenger to the Laodicean Church Age who refused worship in Revelation 22, and the only man to whom Jesus revealed these things.
Now Brother Branham could not know the mystery of the Seven Seals until Christ had finished His Mediation, taken the Book and opened the Seals '... for no man in heaven or on earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the Book, neither to look thereon'? It is clear from our Bibles that the revelation of the Book could not be known until after the Seven Church Ages were finished, after Christ's Mediatorial Office was fulfilled, and after Revelation 4, 5 and 10:1-7 were fulfilled.
Jesus taught us to look for a prophet. Without a prophet, there could be no second Coming for the second Coming or 'parousia' is the Fullness of the Word which can come only to a prophet (Amos 3:6-8; Matthew 17:11). The LAST Sign He promised the Gentiles was a prophet veiling the Fullness of the godhead 'as it was in the days of Lot,' revealing 'Jesus Christ the same yesterday and today, and forever' by the Messianic Sign of Hebrews 4:12 (Luke 17:28-30; Genesis 18). This is now PAST history. It is later than you think.
The skeptic said, 'I don't see that Hebrews 4:12 is a Messianic Sign'.
How sad! This is the Sign by which God identified Jesus as the Christ to the elect of His day (John 1:42, 45-49; 4:13-30). Hebrews 4:12 identified God veiled in the created Man of Genesis 18, and Abraham worshipped Him, calling Him 'Elohim'. We must have the faith of Abraham. God is no respecter of persons. He promised to reveal Himself to the Gentiles before the end of our dispensation when our denominations are apostate as He revealed Himself to Israel at the end of their dispensation when their denominations were apostate. Jesus promised It would repeat when the world was in a Sodom condition. This time, God veiled Himself behind a sinner saved by grace, proving that through the new birth a man can live above all sin so God has the pre-eminence.
As Jesus was the first mature Son of them that slept, the prophet He sent in our day was under complete pre-eminence to the Word. He was the first ripe of those who are Christ's at His parousia, or Coming. And He introduced that Coming by revealing the Seven Seals of Revelation which is Christ, the Fullness of the Word. strat012.htm
