Brightest Galactic Flash ever detected Hits Earth
February, 18 2005 – A huge explosion halfway across the galaxy packed so much power it briefly altered Earth's upper atmosphere in December . . . No known eruption beyond our solar system has ever appeared as bright upon arrival. But you could not have seen it . . . In gamma rays, the event equaled the brightness of the full Moon's reflected visible light.
The blast originated about 50,000 light-years away and was detected December 27. A light-year is the distance light travels in a year, about 6 trillion miles (10 trillion kilometers). . .

FEMA: California not ready for Major Earthquake
A letter sent from Homeland Security Chief Michael Chertoff to one California State Senator is rattling nerves tonight. Chertoff basically admits to Barbara Boxer, that if a catastrophic quake hits California, we're on our own.
Chertoff writes that each state is responsible for assessing its own risk and developing state and local plans to address those risks . . . he's asked for a review of California's catastrophic earthquake preparation and response planning. Intensified Development raises Catastrophic Flood Risk around US, Experts Say
Saint Louis, February 20, 2006 – Concentrated development in flood-prone parts of Missouri, California and other states has significantly raised the risk of New Orleans-style flooding as people snap up new homes even in areas recently deluged, researchers said Saturday.
Around St. Louis, where the Mississippi River lapped at the steps of the Gateway Arch during the 1993 flood, more than 14,000 acres (5,600 hectares) of flood plain have since been developed. That has reduced the region's ability to store water during future floods and potentially put more people in harm's way . . .
The Sacramento-San Joaquin delta, which covers 738,000 acres (295,200 hectares), receives runoff from more than 40 percent of California. Much of the land is below sea level and relies on more than 1,000 miles (1,600 kilometers) of levees for protection against flooding, according to the California Department of Water Resources . . .

Philippines raises Alert against Mayon Volcano
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) Tuesday raised the alert level of Mayon volcano that erupted violently in the past years in Albay Province, Central Philippines.
In an interview with local TV ANC, PHIVOLCS director Renato Solidum warned the public not to venture within the volcano's six-kilometer danger zone. Solidum said his agency has advised the Albay provincial coordinating council to be on alert level 2. The volcano's lava dome increases in size up to now, according to PHIVOLCS' watch. Albay resident volcanologist Ed Laguerta said that a low frequency volcanic quake was registered in their latest monitoring.

February 19, 2006 – . . . now its official: under orders from Vice President Cheney's office, the Pentagon has developed "last resort" aerial-assault plans using long-distance B2 bombers and submarine-launched ballistic missiles with both conventional and nuclear weapons.
How ironic that the Pentagon proposes using nuclear weapons on the pretext of protecting the world from nuclear weapons. Ironic also that Iran has complied with its obligations under the Non-Proliferation Treaty, allowing inspectors to "go anywhere and see anything," yet those pushing for an attack, the USA and Israel, have not.

Bush bankrupts America
February 19, 2006 – Under George W. Bush's $2.77 trillion budget for fiscal 2007, federal spending would top revenue by $354 billion, following a six-year string of staggering deficits—2005's was $429 billion. And that's just for openers. Step right up, it's the greatest rip on earth!
But like the good Duce he is, he won't go away fast, at least not until he breaks the economy and he gets busted himself for his various illegalities: lying about Iraq Weapons of Mass Destruction; killing Iraq citizens and American soldiers; outing a CIA operative whose husband, Joe Wilson, caught him lying about yellow-cake uranium from Niger; okaying NSA spying on US Citizens; torturing Abu Ghraib prisoners against the Geneva Conventions; not to mention the ever-widening, well-documented case that the administration participated in and engineered 9-11. More: China and Japan, fearing the dollar crisis, have recently begun heavy buying of commodities, from oil to iron ore to copper to gold. They are using their trade dollars to buy real commodities, instead of US Treasury debt, which is mere paper. Chinese panic buying of oil for stockpiling reserves is a major factor pushing oil prices again to record levels of $42 barrels despite two major OPEC quota rises. And after being burned when the US-led Coalition Provisional Authority invalidated Hussein-era oil deals, China has snapped up strategic energy contracts across the world, including in Latin America, Canada and Iran. It can be assumed that China will not sit idly by and watch Tehran fall to the Americans.
Russia and China have developed strong ties recently, both with each other and with Iran. Each possesses nuclear weapons, and arguably more threatening to the US, each holds large reserves of US dollars which can be dumped in favor of euros. Bush crosses them at his nation's peril. Repeal the 22nd Amendment?
There is a proposed resolution NOW in Congress to repeal the 22nd Amendment. This Amendment limits any one person to two terms max as president. Without this Amendment someone can stay in office indefinitely. For the moment let's put aside who is or isn't in office right now and ask ourselves why was the amendment put in place to begin with? Then we must ask what impact this will have if someone we dislike is in office who does not act in the best interest of the country cannot be accused of an impeachable offense. We are STUCK with this person indefinitely. Is this wise?

Jacob's Stairway to Heaven
Esau despised his birthright and traded it for a single meal, a type of Israel who rejected Abraham's grace covenant for the curse of the Law of sin and death, and the worldly church system which rejected Christ's second or 'parousia' Coming to earth in 1963 by the revelation of the Seven Seals as prophesied in Scripture, and have become souls in prison now, en route to the Great Tribulation.
God foreknew and chose Jacob from the foundation of the world because he longed for and believed in the birthright. As soon as he received the Promise it caused a separation from his brother Esau, but when a man is born-again he separates from his old church if it's carnal and from his old friends and associates. That was Paul's experience, and it is my testimony also. That yearning in his heart which hungered for God will in his life calls for a separation from the love of the world and worldly things once it has received the birthright (II Corinthians 6:14-18).
Jacob obtained his brother's birthright lawfully but stole his blessing by deceiving Isaac, their father. Esau was furious and swore he would kill Jacob after Isaac's death (Genesis 27:41). From that day, Esau/Edom has been killing Jacob/Israel to recover the birthright as we see in the present destruction of Iraq, and planned aggression against Iran, Syria and other nations thence the ten Northern Tribes were dispersed, and whence they will soon be gathered back into the Promised Land (Isaiah 11:11-12).
Jacob fled to Padan-aram in Mesopotamia to live with his uncle Laban until Esau's anger had turned away. His father sent him on his journey with this blessing: Genesis 28:3-4, "God Almighty bless you, and make you fruitful, and multiply you, that you may be a multitude of people; and give the blessing of Abraham to you, and to your seed; that you may inherit the land wherein you are a stranger, which God gave to Abraham".
Note that Abraham's blessing to natural Israel was not to the descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Esau, but to the offspring of Abraham and Isaac through Jacob who is called Israel (John 8:33-44).
Genesis 28:10-22, "Jacob left Beersheba, and as he journeyed toward Haran he reached a certain place where he spent the night, because the sun had set. Taking a stone for a pillow he lay down to sleep, and he dreamed there was a ladder standing on the earth and whose top reached to heaven. He saw the angels of God ascending and descending on it, and at the top of the ladder stood the Lord, who said, I am the Lord God of Abraham your father, and the God of Isaac: I will give the land on which you lie to you and your descendants; and they shall be as the dust of the earth, and you shall spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south: and in you and in your Seed (which is Christ) shall all the families of the earth be blessed. Moreover, I am with you, and will protect you wherever you go, and will bring you back safely to this land. I will be with you constantly until I have done everything that I have promised you."
In other words, "My constant Presence will be with Abraham's seed which will cover the earth from sunrise to sunset, and from noonday to midnight, as the waters cover the sea" (Isaiah 11:9-10; Habakkuk 2:14). It is this knowledge of the Glory of the Lord that makes you, my Brother or Sister, Abraham's seed and the Glory of the Lord (Galatians 3:27-29; I Corinthians 11:1-16; Ephesians 5:22-32). God was confirming His promise to Abraham whose name means "father of the Gentiles"—speaking here of an election from every nation, tribe and tongue of Adam's race throughout the earth who will be blessed in Jesus Christ, who is Abraham's seed. This clearly transcends the destiny of Abraham's natural seed.
"Jacob awoke from his sleep and said, Surely the Lord is in this place; and I did not know it. And he was afraid, and said, This place is awesome! It is none other than God's house, and the gate of heaven. So Jacob rose early in the morning, and he took the stone he had put under his head and set it up for a pillar, and poured oil on the top of it. And he called the name of that place Bethel (which means "House of God"), but the previous name of the nearest village was Luz" (which means "almond tree").
Then in thankful acknowledgement of the divine assurance "Jacob made a vow, saying, If God will be with me, and will keep me in this way that I go, and give me bread to eat, and raiment to put on, and bring me back safely to my father's house, then the Lord shall be my God. And this stone, which I have set for a memorial pillar, shall be God's house: and I will return to You a tenth of all that You give me".
What a beautiful promise God has given to the seed of Jacob/Israel through Christ. A ladder is a way of escape, the narrow way from earth to Glory, and represents God's covenant. His personal protection and guidance included security against Esau. It represents the history of the Old Testament and the security of the New Testament saints against the Esau's who will confront us.
As Jacob is now at the starting point of his independent development, Jehovah standing above the ladder appears in His descent incarnate as "the beginning of the creation of God," the virgin-born flesh of the seed of Jacob, the last Adam and kinsman Redeemer of the first Adam. "He that descended is the One who ascended far above all heavens that He might fill all things with His glory. He resurrected the saints who had been captive of death, made them captives of eternal Life, and gave gifts unto men" (Ephesians 4:8-11).
The Covenant is secured to the throne of God in Glory, and it stands upon earth on the sure foundation on the Rock of Jesus Christ. He could not rest the ladder on Abraham who lied about his wife, and He could not stand it upon Jacob the supplanter; neither could he subsequently base it on the Israelite nation or David who took Bathsheba in adultery and had Uriah her husband killed. Nor could He rest it on the temple, because Jesus said, "There will not be one stone left upon another that will not be thrown down" (Isaiah 6; Daniel 9:27; Matthew 24:2).
Christ was that pillar of Rock. He is the promised Seed of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. He is God's House or dwelling place as signified by the name "Bethel" (Matthew 3:17). He is the strait Gate through which we enter New Jerusalem, and the Door to the sheepfold (Matthew 7:14; John 2:19; 14:6). Through the New Covenant we have a personal living communion with God signified by the angel messengers ascending and descending.
The tithe is sacred revenue. As the number "ten" concludes the prime numbers it expresses the completion of some whole thing. The tithe on one's increase therefore represents the whole of what was due from man to God, and recognizes God's claim on the whole, allowing the believer a sanctified use and enjoyment of what is left. "Seek ye first the Kingdom of God." Have you ever witnessed that to be the truth? Put God first. Pay your tithes first. Pray first thing in the morning. Pray throughout the day, and if you give God the first place in everything, you will be a witness to the truth of Malachi 3:8-12, "Will a man rob God? Surely not! Yet you have robbed Me. But you say, How are we robbing You?"
"You have robbed your tithes and offerings due to Me. You are cursed with a curse: for you have robbed Me, the whole nation of you. Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, so that there will be food enough in My house, and put Me to the test. If you do I will open the windows of heaven for you, and pour out a blessing so great you will not have room enough to receive it. And I will protect your crops from insects and plagues, and your grapes will not shrivel away before they ripen, says the Lord of hosts. Then all nations will call you blessed: for you will be a land of delight, says the Lord of hosts".
"Obedience to belief in faith brings promised blessings, and is better than sacrifice for unbelief" (I Samuel 15:22).
Brother Branham told how one of the Sisters was praying in her darkened room around three o'clock one afternoon when the Pillar of Fire appeared as a rainbow over the head of the Lord Jesus in a picture of the Last Supper. She watched it for a few minutes then told her sister. They watched it for a long time then called a neighboring minister and watched it together until about five o'clock. Later, during a service, the Lord gave a message in tongues: the interpretation explained that the sign had been intended as an acknowledgement of their belief in the Message going forth from the Tabernacle, and that they were going to see far greater things than this. They would even see angels ascending, and descending and ascending (Respects 2:6-7). Sabino Canyon, Sunset Mountain, Matthew 13:36-39; Revelation 4, 5, and 10:1-7 have since been fulfilled: the resurrection and translation will follow quickly.
In John 1:47-51, "Jesus saw Nathanael coming to Him, and discerning the thoughts and intents of his heart He exclaimed, Here is a true Israelite in whom is no deceit!"
"When did you know me? Nathanael demanded."
"Before Philip called you, I saw you (in a vision) under your fig tree."
"Nathanael replied, Rabbi, You are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel!"
"Jesus marveled, So quickly convinced, and on the sole evidence that I discerned the thoughts and intents of your heart and reported a vision, saying, I saw you under the fig tree? You shall see greater things than this. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Hereafter you will see heaven opened, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man".
In other words, "Nathaniel, you will see the fulfillment of Jacob's vision".
"Verily, verily" is a double "Amen." While "I say unto you" differs from THUS SAITH THE LORD only inasmuch as Christ the Lord Himself differs from the prophets. Whereas He is the Logos—Truth itself made flesh—they who speak the Word of God in the Name of God are witnesses of the truth.
Brother Branham said, "Heaven consists of the Word." The idea here is that heaven was closed before the incarnation of Christ the Word; and the beginning of His public ministry and the first recognition of His Messianic dignity is meant as the starting-point of an unbroken communion between God and man and an exchange of divine grace and human prayers (Matthew 3:16; I Timothy 2:5). Thus a closed heaven signifies missing rungs or the absence of a ladder and divine help through communion with the Word, and impending judgment (Isaiah 34:4; Revelation 6:14).
Jesus allusion to the vision of Jacob's ladder was obviously prompted by Nathanael's instantaneous vindication of His discernment, "Here is a true Israelite without deceit," when Nathanael caught the revelation and said—"Rabbi, You are the Son of God; You are the King of Israel."
Jacob, the first Israel, saw heavens opened, but only in a dream. The living intercourse between God and Israel announced itself and had begun in the old theocracy with the Lord standing above the ladder speaking from heaven. Jesus told Nathanael that what the first Israel saw in a dream was now fulfilled in reality: the Lord and last Israel had descended to earth by the ladder of the Old Covenant in the Office of Son of Man, and was speaking with Nathanael face to face. The Word was made flesh and the tabernacle or house of God was with men; communication between heaven and earth was wide open, for Jesus is also the gate of heaven.
Jesus Messiah is the beginning of the Logos being created into the flesh of God's Family through faith in the spoken Word in its season. Christ's Bride is the continuation of the same creation just as Eve was a continuation of the creation of Adam (Revelation 3:14; I Corinthians 3:16-17; Revelation 21:22). The Bible is the story of God changing His form from the Eternal Spirit alone with His thoughts into the flesh of His glorified Family.
By the grace of God this revelation and experiential communication with the Lord God is not strange to the end-time Bride of Christ. But to the vast majority of sincere nominal Christians today it is all one way, as it was for most Israelites in the days of His flesh. To both groups it seems God is "long distance" as Elijah implied to the priests of Baal, "Cry aloud: for he is a god; either he is talking, or he is pursuing, or he is in a journey, or peradventure he sleeps, and must be awakened".
Daniel's sixty-ninth week of the Hebrew dispensation ended with the crucifixion of Messiah, and although Israel had rejected His ministry, it continued when He descended into the realm of the departed. There He vindicated the faith of the Old Testament saints thereby preaching condemnation to the souls of sinners in the same dimension, who, having spurned mercy in their lifetime when they might have repented, could now no longer be forgiven, and were lost. Nothing remained for them but the judgment (Hebrews 9:27).
Jude 5-6, "I will therefore put you in remembrance, though you once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not. And the angels which kept not their first estate (of faith in the Word of God's promise to Abraham), but left their own habitation, He has reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day." Of the adults who left Egypt, only Joshua and Caleb lived to enter Canaan. Their generation all died physically: most became souls in prison, lost the instant God removed their names from the Book of Life (Psalm 95:11; John 6:49).
II Peter 2:4-5, "For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them into hell, chained in darkness until the judgment day; and spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the Flood upon the world of the ungodly . . ."
These "angels" were foreknown of God and on the Book of Life in heaven since they were sons of Adam. But they entered misalliances with the daughters of Cain and when they rejected Noah's Message their names were removed from the Book of Life (Genesis 6:1-4). I Peter 3:18-20, "For Christ also once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God. Though His body died, His soul lived on, and quickened by the Spirit He went and preached to the souls in prison; who were disobedient during the longsuffering of God in which He withheld judgment while Noah was constructing an ark wherein eight souls were saved through the water. Its counterpart, water baptism, saves us now, not because our bodies are washed clean by immersion, but by faith through the earnest seeking of a conscience that is clear in God's Presence through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, who has gone into heaven and sits at the right hand of God, with angels, authorities and powers subject to Him".
It is not by self-works that are we received of God and put on the character of Christ, but by grace through faith whereby the revelation of His mind in us cleanses our soul of all unrighteousness as typed by Israel's waters of separation (Ephesians 5:26; Numbers 19:9). This simple revelation exposes the folly of the Two Souls cult.
These "angels" were not supernatural beings but unrepentant sinners: mortal men like the "angel" David (Hebrews 2:1-7). Revelation 12:3-4, "There appeared another sign in heaven; a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns on his heads. (This was Imperial Rome in the days of our Lord). And his tail (propaganda or false prophecy) drew the third part of the stars of heaven and cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman who was ready to be delivered, to devour her child as soon as it was born".
The third part of the stars of heaven, or Adam's fallen race, is Shem. Satan sought to destroy the prince of the house of David in his infancy. By deceiving the Israelite nation and uniting their priesthood with Rome he caused them to crucify Messiah. Hereby their names were removed from the Book of Life and they were metaphorically cast down to earth, becoming souls in prison while they lived, with no hope in this world or in the world that is to come.
If your name is on the Book of Life you are ordained to become an angel or messenger of God, because as a son of Adam you are by inheritance a son of God. But since you are on free moral agency, you can choose, or you may refuse. Souls that have been removed from, or like Cain's descendants, were never in the Book of Life, are angels of Darkness. Galatians 1:7-9, "There are some who trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to that which we have preached to you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to that which you have received, let him be accursed".
By God's foreknowledge of how we would exercise our own free will, we are each predestinated to Glory or damnation.
Brother Branham's ministry revealed Jesus Messiah the same yesterday, and today, and forever, as prophesied in Luke 17:28-30. As Brother Branham was baptizing in the Ohio River, the Pillar of Fire manifest in the form of a star, and a Voice from heaven said, "As John the Baptist foreran My first Coming, your Message will forerun My second Coming"—the image of John's baptism of Jesus in the river Jordan. Veiled behind the flesh of this sinner-saved-by-grace, God discerned the thoughts and intents of men's hearts, healed the sick and raised the dead, as He had done behind Messiah's virgin-born flesh.
Brother Branham said all ministries have three pulls. Noah's third pull was to the lost after God had closed the door to the ark and let it sit seven-days on top of a mountain. Mercy was over, for no one could enter and those aboard were sealed for deliverance. The third pull in the days of Lot came after Abraham had implored God to save Sodom and the five cities on the plain if He could find two righteous men in each city. Ten could not be found so God departed from His elect and destroyed the city. Moses' third pull was when he poured water on the ground and it became blood, a symbol of death.
The third pull of Christ's end-time Bride is to preach to souls who are imprisoned now behind the bars of their sinful minds in man-made religious systems; many of them 'good people,' but forever condemned: lost through unbelief in the revealed Word for their day (Revelation 11:8-11). There is a ministry of reconciliation, but there is also a ministry of condemnation. When the Word of reconciliation has been refused, unbelief makes it the Word of condemnation (John 3:18; Isaiah 61:2).
The other aspect of the "third pull" is given to produce translation faith in the heart of the Bride but this will not manifest in the fullness of its power until after Satan has been cast down to earth. At that time Rome and her (once) Protestant image will apply the "squeeze" to shut down or restrict the ministry of the Christian Church and bring us under submission to the World Council of Churches. Let me assure you from personal experience, Satan has laid his groundwork, and without the express intervention of God through the unity of the faith you will not escape. But watch the "third pull" when you are pressed out of society. It will condemn those who are totally lost, but it will be the blessing of the Bride to start translation faith unto the going away by providing for our needs, even restoring missing limbs as we speak the Word.
Praise the Lord for Jacob's ladder of the New Covenant that rests upon the Rock of the Lord Jesus Christ, and for God's prophet through whom He has restored the apostolic faith, finished the mystery of God, introduced Christ's second or 'parousia' Coming, and is calling the wise and foolish virgin out from all man-made systems into the unity of the faith, for the manifestation of the Sons of God and the translation. nl417.htm
